As the youngest of four girls, I’ve kind of always thought I was meant to go into a sports-related field. Give my poor father a break from the constant dance recitals and school musicals he endured when we were growing up.
But to be honest, I sort of just fell into it.

Side line reporter during KFAN’s pregame show, leading up to the Bears vs. Vikings at TCF Bank Stadium for Monday Night Football (Dec. 20, 2010).
I grew up in New Prague, a small town about 50 miles south of the Twin Cities. After heading to the University of Minnesota, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in journalism. But it took a chance meeting on spring break for me to decide that my future needed to involve sports.
Yes, I had my life-changing epiphany sitting on the beach in Mazatlan, Mexico, talking SEC football with a law student from the University of Alabama. Roll tide, sir.

Hanging out with WCCO & KFAN regular Mark Rosen before heading into the Twins’ clubhouse after they clinched the division in 2010 (Sept. 21, 2010).
Since that day, I’ve covered the nationally-ranked Golden Gopher volleyball team for the Minnesota Daily, interned in the sports department at both WCCO-TV & at KFAN radio, spent the summer hanging out the Twins Live set at Target Field and was a sideline reporter for FOX Sports Prep Zone at FOX Sports North in Minneapolis.
Most recently, I was a cast member on the second season of Major League Baseball’s MLB Fan Cave where I competed against eight other fans to become MLB’s Ultimate Fan. While I didn’t win the grand prize, I did get to represent my favorite team – the Minnesota Twins – while watching baseball for a living in New York City! Pretty sweet gig.
I have huge aspirations and goals for myself but right now, I’m enjoying where I’m at.
Thanks for stopping by!
